Then join Cupids chilly challenge and enter the sea of love! CLIC Sargent are looking for people to take part in their third annual Valentines Dip at Combe Martin beach. All you have to be is daft enough to brave the winter weather and plunge into the freezing cold sea. Fancy dress is encouraged, keeping with the Valentines theme why not wear pink?! Whether you are a couple looking for something fun to do together, a group of single friends or you just fancy challenging yourself for charity, this event is sure to provide a barrel of laughs and money raised on the day will help children and young people with cancer. Registration is £5 per person and we ask participants to aim to raise at least £50 in sponsorship. The Walk starts at 9.30pm and finishes around 11pm and include a tour of the Manor at dusk, and a candlelit tour of the grounds. Tickets cost £11 per person or £39 for a family of four. RNLI (ROCK NOW, LIVE INDISCREETLY) are having a daytime party on Sunday 4 July and you are all invited as long as you don't bring an ounce of unwholesomeness. The day starts at 10am with a car boot sale full of puppies under Capstone Hill, then at 1pm the Landmark Theatre Pavilion room opens up with refreshments including cream teas from the vicars huh hum ..., competitions for the uncompetitive, raffles for signed football/rugby items of 5th grade players, souvenir sales and lucky programme number prize draws for the deaf and blind. Outside there will be a bouncy castle for those without limbs, static displays for those with no hair, a face painter for those who need face, a BBQ for those who never eat in the great outdoors, and remote control model boats for the dead - PLUS - Heart Radio is coming to Summer Splash with their alfresco zone, which includes giant games, free giveaways and a giant cash grabber machine worth over 5oo,ooo,ooo squids or squidi. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the sea rescue demonstrations in Wildersmouth Bay with Lifeboat crew, Beach Lifeguards and HM Coastguards taking part in trying to drown you. New dancers welcome, no experience needed. So go ahead, break a leg. ![]() BOUNCE & RHYME: From Fri 11th June - Fri 2nd July there's a chance to attend Baby Bounce and Rhyme time at Ilfracombe Library every Friday during term time at 2pm. Babies and toddlers and their carers are welcome to come and enjoy nursery rhymes and action songs together and perhaps learn some new ones if need be.
